Art nouveau Lindenbaum apartment block Budapest Hungary Europe


The first Hungarian architect to look to art nouveau for inspiration was Frigyes Spiegel. The Lindenbaum apartment block, built in 1896 and 1897, was the first in Hungary to use art nouveau ornamentation including suns, stars, peacocks, flowers, snakes and long-tressed nudes.
