The Troyes Altarpiece circa 1525 (limestone, painted and gilded) was made for Jean Huynard the Elder, a lawyer who was elected dean of the chapter of Lirey in 1504. Amid the scenes of Christ's arrest, death and resurrection, Jean can be found kneeling at the foot of the cross. His family shields appear in the spandrels between the arches on the left and right sides.
