Mierendorffplatz U-Bahn underground railway station entrance on the U 7 line in Charlottenburg, Berlin It was opened on 1 October 1980 when the line was extended from Richard-Wagner-Platz to Rohrdamm. The square & station are named after politician and Resistance fighter Carlo Mierendorff (1897–1943). The station was designed by architect Rainer G. Rümmler and the colourful geometric pattern forms the letter M as in Mierendorffplatz.
