This variety is extensively grown in the grape growing districts of New Jersey. It has special merit not only in the quahty of its fruit but is also an exceptionally strong grower and very prolific bearer. The large berries are cop- pery red in color and of delicious flavor. A cross between Catawba and Concord which has inherited the best characteristics of both parents developing a luscious fruit which ranks close to the greenhouse grown product in high quality and melting texture.
