Sweet peas are here by the thousands and the prices have dropped on all grades. We are getting in some fine stock and it is too bad that the trade will not be able to use a good part of them. Carnations are a glut and seem to have lost their grip entirely. The prices on the best stock have reached $2 per hundred; the poorer grades have brought from $1 per hundred down. Easter lilies are fine and in large sup- ply. The demand for these has not been equal to the supply and there is a big loss here to the grower. It seems that in this line there is an oversupply or none at all and the writer thinks the growers should get together on this item and post each other so that the big glut could be overcome. There is a big supply of snapdragons and candytuft that missed Memorial day and all this helps to crowd the market. Lily of the valley is fine and in heavy supply. Green goods are holding firm and fancy ferns are rather scarce. This has been a good year for the plant growers and they all report clean up sales.
