Birger Jarl's statue is a statue depicting Sweden's Earl and Regent Birger Jarl. The statue stands in Jarl Birger's square on Riddarholmen in Stockholm. The statue was created by the sculptor Bengt Erland Fogelberg and unveiled on 21 October 1854. Stenbock Palace in the background. Birger founded the city of Stockholm (circa 1252).
