Arabian Gulf (Mar. 21, 2003) -- Engineman 3rd Class Edward Bessette scans the horizon for contacts and potential aggressors from aboard the Cyclone Class patrol boat, USS Chinook (PC 9). Chinook is conducting missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
