220530-N-EU544-9329 SOUTH CHINA SEA (May 30, 2022) Sailors carry “Rescue Randy”, a training dummy assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) Squadron 23, on a litter across the flight deck of the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Jackson (LCS 6) during a medical evacuation drill. Jackson, part of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 7, is on a rotational deployment, operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
