The list shouldinclude a field-glass, a drinking-cup of leather or metal, note-books, pocket compass, thermometer, and, if possible, a photo-graphic outfit. Other materials we may safely leave until ar-rival in the East. We shall locate some of the docksand observe where we may take our steamer for our longAtlantic trip. At last the day has come to embark.
