Kawaii - Chintzy knitted cover to a traditional post box in Abingdon, England 1

This traditional red post box lives in the central Market Place of Abingdon-on-Thames. Behind lies Abingdon Museum, once the Central Assizes for this old town. I must have passed this box hundreds of times, but last week was it has suddenly acquired this kawaii (cute) knitted hat, adorned with the beloved Postman Pat. Is this surreal, or I have this sudden, vivid mental image of a little old lady, knitting these accoutrements to ensure the post box does not catch cold in our brisk mid winter weather. Quite
