IWAKUNI, Japan (February 2, 2017) Commander Daniel Prochazka, commanding officer of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 125, addresses Japanese and international media shortly after the squadron's arrival onboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni. VAW-125 will relieve VAW-115 as the airborne early warning squadron for Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 in support of the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) Carrier Strike Group. VAW-125 flies the E2-D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft, the Navy's latest variant of the E-2 platform, which features a number of upgrades over the older E2-C variant.
