. February, 1900. Nurseries (Horticulture) Indiana Richmond Catalogs; Plants, Ornamental Catalogs; Flowers Catalogs; Roses Catalogs. B. G. HILL & CO., RICHMOND, IND. 21 Columbia. A splendid bedder; light, high scar- let, of dazzling brightness; two upper petals white, shading to scarlet on the edges; extremely showy; light green foliage. Of the general type of the Mirande section, but of distinct and flaming color, and very val- uable on account of its bed- ding qualities; does not lose its color in sunshine. Jacquerie. One of the largest of florets, longer than wide; very velvety in texture, and a magnificent shade of very dark crim- son-scarlet. Mrs. J. M. Gaar. Our own raising. Absolutely perfect as a bedding vari- ety ; never burns; is of dwarf, compact habit, and in freedom of bloom is superior to all whites, and equal to the best scarlet bedders. Pierre Mael. Violet lake, or pure violet, upper petal marked in pure white; the first variety to show this combination of color; very distinct; truss large and freely produced; very beautiful. Tippecanoe. Bright salmon-scarlet; good size truss, on long stems; very free in bloom; lasts well in full sunlight; a very effective color among English Round Flowering. $ per 100, except as noted. The florets are all immense in size, and the petals overlap widely, making the outline as round as a dollar. Nothing finer among fancy Geraniums exists. They are startlingly beautiful. With the exception of Dryden, they are only useful for pot culture. Crabbe. Single. Charming shade of cherry red. Over 2i inches across. Beautifully rounded, combined in a mas- sive truss 14 inches in circumference. Very effective. Dryden. Single, and a grand bedder. Stands our Indi- ana suns and rains remarkably well, and is one of the showiest things in the field, not losing its color or " wash- ing," as so many varieties of this type do. ft is bright, rosy red. 15 cents each. Galatea. Delicate salmon rose, with white blotc
