Tarbes (65)2009/02/07The Massey Garden was built in the XIXth century by Placide Massey (1777-1853), horticulturist born in Tarbes. Classified as "Jardins remarquables" (Remarkable Garden of France) by the French Ministry of Massey Museum, in the heart of the public garden, houses European paintings from the XVIth to the XXth century. The building (two floors and a tower) was designed by Jean-Jacques Latour, an architect from Tarbes.
