An MV-22B Osprey aircraft, assigned to the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, carrying a bilateral assessment team, lands to refuel on the USS George Washington aircraft carrier, Nov. 18. Operation Damayan is the first event where Ospreys have landed on the ship. The team traveled to remote areas in and near Leyte using an MV-22B tiltrotor Osprey aircraft to assess the needs of people isolated by Typhoon Haiyan. military assets have delivered relief supplies provided by the Agency for International Development since the start of Operation Damayan, in support of the Government of the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan.
