Upon the whole, Brixton Churchis entitled to .rank among the few specimens of truly classicalbuilding in the metropolis. The resemblance between the out-line of the West front, and that of the Tuscan Church of , Covent-garden, an edifice so often and so justly ad-mired, cannot fail to strike every one who has attentivelysurveyed the two buildings ; but, with all its intrinsic beau-ties, it is to be regretted that the present Church is not placedin the most fortunate situation.
