While there are four cases of congenital bilateral clubhand deformities, only case 1 is undoubtedly one of primaryvariation in the embryonal development. The three others,I believe, to be due to external condition in utero, chordconstriction, postural anomalies, etc. Of the three acquiredcases two are of osteomylitic origin, resulting in partialdefect of the radius, and in one case of the thumb.
