Tree: Vigorous; productive. Fruit: Ovate, somewhat fiat ; suturedeep on one side and terminating in aprominent apex ; size large, often 3inches long by 2^ broad ; skin paleyellow, almost white, slightly tintedand spotted with crimson on sunnyside ; cavity narrow and moderatelydeep. Carlisle. Flesh : Nearly free ; color, white; dis^colors quickly after cutting ; texture juicy,tender, but not soft ; flavor rich, good,moderately sweet, if well ripened ; ratherdisappointing in 1904. Season : Last half of October (in 1904);(September 1st to 15th, 1902). Quality : Dessert fair ; cooking good,but requires more time than some varie-ties. Value : First class in its season formarket on account of its large size.
