Propanol, molecular model. This is the n-propanol form of this alcohol, with the hydroxide group in the primary position. n-propanol is used as a solvent in the pharmaceutical industry, and is also used in the production of resins and cellulose esters. It is also formed in small quantities during fermentation. This model shows the atoms (spheres) connected by bonds (rods). The atoms are colour-coded: carbon (black), oxygen (red), and hydrogen (white).
