Roman Phyrigian style doorstone funerary stele of Marios and family, 271 AD, Acomonia (Ahat Koyu ) Turkey. Louvre Museum Ma 3319. A typical stele of Asia Minor depicting a the door decorated with a tablet to write and its stylus, a goatskin, a pruning knife, a comb, a basket and a mirror. This common objects affirm the social status of the deceased. Incription in greek reads " To Sylla Ammia Sekyroispa, known as Krispe, had (the stele) done by her dear husband Marios, Her brother-in-law Onesimos, Her children who died prematurely, Zoutikos, Antonina and Ammiania, in memory" Marble Height: 60 cm; Width: 40 cm; Depth: 5 cm.
