BLACK SEA (May 14, 2017) Visit, board, search and seizure team members from the Romanian navy frigate Regele Ferdinand (F-221) approach the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79) during a maritime interdiction operation exercise. Oscar Austin is on a routine deployment supporting national security interests in Europe, and increasing theater security cooperation and forward naval presence in the 6th Fleet area of operations.
