The Trustees of the Worcester Lunatic Hospital submit thefollowing Report, for the year ending September 30, 1867. The full report made by the Superintendent renders anystatement on our part of statistical details, in regard to thedoings of the past year, unnecessary. The great number ofpatients discharged recovered, in proportion to the whole num-ber that leave our walls, is the best proof of the usefulness andsuccess of the institution. The grant of fifteen thousand dollars by the legislature, atits last session, placed the hospital in a better finaiicial condi-tion than it had been for some time previously.
