Thousands of visitors watch projections on the Manhattan Bridge during the First New York Festival of Light

Thousands of visitors watch projections on the Manhattan Bridge during the First New York Festival of Light in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York on its final evening Saturday, November 8, 2014. The three-day festival attracted so many attendees on its last night that overcrowding created a dangerous condition and it was shut down at 8:30 PM, two and one-half hours early. (© Richard B.
