Muscle power and wheels are the main modes of moving people and goods around the car free old town of Hoi An. Women can be seen pulling carts and doing many manual labour tasks in the town. Hoi An is a UNESCO heritage site, being an ancient town close to Da Nang in central Vietnam. The old town is a key shopping and tourist attraction, which may be a problem going forward as central development is occuring which may lose one of the big reasons people visit.
