The point of Grouin is the most northerly of Cancale. In its extension is the Phare de la Pierre-de-Herpin. This tip is used to draw the starting line of the race the Route du Rhum. The point is dominated by a semaphore, built in 1861 which was used to monitor the passage of ships at sea. This natural site of Emerald Coast that offers a unique view of the southern part of Mont Saint-Michel. This wild and rocky point overlooking the sea 40 meters. The panorama stretches from Cape Frehel to Granville via the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, off the islands Chausey. A path can go at low tide, explore a cave in the cliff. The island of Landes, which is opposite, is a bird sanctuary and botanical.
