The troops acclimated over six days planning, adjusting, testing and learning before getting the final word to suit up at 8 They would be transported into the wilderness and dropped off in a starry night with temps dipping into the teens. Teams would ascend 1000 feet over snow fields, crossing streams, climbing ravines, all while staying perfectly quiet and using no light except the moon and their night vision devices.
