Abingdon, England - 12 July 2020; several people in view by the river. Abingdon claims to be the oldest town in England. This is its famous medieval stone bridge, seen on a fine summer morning. The Bridge was begun in 1416 and completed in 1422, using local limestone. Here we see the bridge in the distance. This part of the Thames is always packed with pleasure boats, and here we see a particularly luxurious example in the foreground.
