The European Court of Human Rights has ruled against Nurse Shirley Chaplain from Exeter who sued her employer The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust after being told she could no longer wear her crucifix at work due to health and safety. A British Airways employee, Nadia Eweida(not pictured), has won a landmark legal battle over her right to wear a cross at work.
