Pilgrims watch the Christmas morning procession of Priests and Deacons at Beta Maryam. Pilgrims, some having walked as much as three weeks, and travelled from all over Ethiopia and the world gather around Beta Maryam, also known as St. Mary's Church the night before the Christmas service where they pray and read scripture. They spend the entire night there right through the morning Christmas service in Lalibela, Ethiopia.
