(Strana-han) Chaffee, of Otsego county, New Eatons father came west in 1865, lo-cating at Newport, Wisconsin. He was acaptain in the New York militia. Hisdeath occurred in ]March, 1887, and he wasburied in Baraboo, in Mr. Eatons family Eatons mother returned east in 1880,and made her home with her eldest daugh-ter in Peterboro, Madison county.
