Westboro. were the sceneof an interesting shoot on Easter Monday, when representa-tives of the St. Huberts and Montreal Gun Clubs met forthe Lansdowne trophy. The shoot was won by Montreal bya score of 104 to 103. The Lansdowne trophy is a large silver cup, representativeof the championship of Eastern Canada, donated by LordLansdowne during his term as Governor General of previous holders were the .St. Huberts cracks, but it isyears since it was competed for before, the Montreal clubchallenging only a week before the shoot came off. Thematch was one of the best ever decided, perfect weatheraiding the marksmen to do particularly well with the rifles,A large crowd watched the match, and the finish was excit-ing, the ownership of the trophy being in doubt until thelast shot had been fired, Montreal will now carry off thetrophy and hold it for one year.
