Esso are planning to replace 90km of an existing aviation fuel pipeline from Southampton to London, and the proposed route passes through Queen Elizabeth Park in Farnborough, Hampshire, UK. The project includes cutting down many trees in the park, including mature trees. An action group has been set up by Donna Wallace, previous Green Party candidate for Rushmoor Borough Council, named Save Queen Elizabeth Park from the Esso Aviation Fuel Pipeline. Notices have been put up on the threatened trees and green ribbons tied round them, and a petition has been started
