Alanya, Turkey – August 18, 2021. Red Tower in Alanya, Turkey. The five-storey octagonal defence tower was constructed in 1226 by Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I, and currently houses the Ethnographic Museum. Measuring nearly 30m in diameter, more than 30m in height, it has a central cistern within for water storage, and looms over the harbour at the lower end of Iskele Caddesi.
