The chief merit to consist in the value of the photograph as an illustration for future catalogues. This requires artistic selection, good judgment in lightmg, absolute sharpness and accuracy in timing and develo]->ment. Ail prints should be on glossy paper, and of any size (mounted or un- mounted). The contest is open to all, and contestants may submit any number of photographs ; but not more than three prizes will be awarded to any one competitor. Be sure and write your name and full address on the back of each picture; also date of exposure, name of, and any other data which may be of interest regarding the subject. Photos of spring-flowering Bulbs to reach us on, or before, June 15,1904. Prizes for the same to be awarded July 1, 1904. Photos of Flowers, Vegetables, etc., to reach us on, or before, October 1, 1904, and prizes for same to be awarded December 1, 1904. Photos ncjt receiving a prize will be returned to the senders.
