Glass hexagonal jug, Early Byzantine, 6th–early 7th century , Roman, Syrian, Glass; mold-blown and trailed, H.: 7 3/8 in. ( cm), Glass, Translucent blue green with same color handle and trail., Rounded rim, folded out, over, and in, and smoothed into outer edge of flaring mouth; cylindrical neck expanding downwards; horizontal shoulder with rounded edges; hexagonal body with sides tapering downwards; kick in bottom, with small central pontil mark; thick rod handle attached in a large pad to shoulder, drawn up and out in a curve, then trailed on to edge of rim and underside of mouth
