Hardworking fisherman fishing for red crab on the Isla Mayor rice field, Guadalquivir river marshes, Seville Andalusia Spain. 70% of the population of Isla Mayor, in Seville, lives on the crustacean, which generates 20 million euros per year. In the humid and suffocating environment of the Gualdaquivir Marsh, with rice fields as far as the eye can see, the red crab has become the other hallmark along with the cereal. A settler who arrived by chance in the 70s who ended up becoming the lifeline for the majority of the inhabitants of Isla Mayor (Seville), generating a prosperous industry around it and placing Spain as the third largest producer in the world after China and the United States.
