All arrangements liave been completed for the annual banquet of these associations. This banquet will be held at Hotel La Salle, January 22. Cost, .$3 per plate, including dancing and entertainment. There will be a ladies' theater ])arty on the evening of Januarv 21. The principal concern seemed to be the local exhibits and, after a thorough discussion of this ques- tion, I'resident Waters appointed the following committee to secure carna- tion exhibits for the show: A. J. Zech, Guy French, Geo. J. Ball, Paul R. Klings- porn. This committee has been given instruction to do everything possible to insure a creditable display of carna- tions from this district. President Waters put on a drive for members for the Illinois State Florists' Association and as a result A. T. Pyfer, at this meeting, succeeded in adding nine new members to this organization. George Asmus made a rousing appeal for a permanent home for the club. This matter was placed in the hands of Mr. Asmus and the trustees for further investigation. The committee is to re- port at the February meeting. The meeting February 5 has been set aside as the annual novelty night. Guy French, chairman of the good of the club committee, will be in charge of this aflfair. Growers who have novel- ties to show should make arrangements to exhibit them. Vaxious Notes. Again there are reports of a plan on foot to organize a new wholesale house among
