Vol., but re-signed soon afterwards. Mr. Gardner was ever knownas the friend of the pooi- and many prosperous citizensof Estill County can ascribe their prosperity to him. Hewas a consistent member of the M. E. Church, South,and a staunch Democrat. The accompanying picture is of his widow, who residesin the old homestead with her eldest son, T. have just reputation for charity and the entertain-ment of their many friends.
