CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (May 31, 2021) Troops stand at parade rest during a Memorial Day ceremony held at Camp Lemonnier, May 31, 2021, in honor of the nation's fallen service members. Starting at 8:00 , to beat the heat of the African sun, all branches of service stood at attention together for about 15 minutes paying tribute to fallen troops. The ceremony included remarks by Commanding Officer Navy Capt. Kyle D. Schuman and a wreath-laying honoring veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.
