Ramadi, Iraq, satellite image. Ramadi (lower centre) is located in Central Iraq on the Euphrates River, 100 kilometres west of Baghdad. It is considered to be the south west point of Iraq's Sunni Triangle and was a focal point of resistance to the US occupation of Iraq. Taken by the Ikonos satellite on 10 March 2003.
