Cornish Lugger Our Daddy under sail off Rame Head Cornwall

Our Daddy is a classic Cornish Lugger. A boat much used by old time smugglers because of their speed and ability to outrun the Customs boats of their day. Our Daddy was built in Looe, Cornwall, by Dick Pearce in 1921. Then used for most of her working life fishing for Pilchards and longlining for bottom fish. When her commercial fishing days were over she was sold to Phil Bryant in Plymouth where she was expertly refitted as a classic sailing vessel. Nowadays she can be seen back at her home port of Looe running charters and sailing holidays.
