A flintlock rifle,Johann Andreas Kuchenreuter in Regensburg,circa 1780. Smooth barrel in mm calibre,with elaborate silver inlays on top,signature also inlaid in silver and brass-filled mark. Number "2" on the tang. Flintlock with cambered lockplate,also signed. Beautifully grained,finely carved walnut half stock with brass furniture,traces of which are gilt,and horn forestock ends. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. The iron parts slightly spotted,the butt with two shrinkage cracks.
