170330-N-HB733-028 ARABIAN GULF (March 30, 2017) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Bryana Sheppard signals to an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Tridents” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 9 during flight operations aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67). Cole is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and to preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
