Mothers' day business was next brought up for discussion, and all retailers pres- ent in their remarks said they never ex- perienced a better liusiness day tlian Mothers' day of this year. The meeting then atljourned. The next meeting will take jihut^ June 9. Various notes. The .ledication of the new entrance to the Missouri I^otanical Garden took place May 10, witli many prominent citi- zens present. President Edwards Whit aker, of the board of trustees of the garden, ojiened with an address of wel come and introduced Henry C. Wallace, secretary of agriculture, who formally opened the gate to admit many visitors in waiting and was the principal speaker of the day. Following the dedication, a luncheon was served in the floral display house to directors and officials of the garden, with their friends and guests. Among the florists present as invited guests were W. A. Kowe, L. J. Boiirdct, W. C. Smith, L. Baumann. II. C. Irish, Hugo Schaff, L. P. Jensen, George H. Pring and J. J. Beneke, all members of the Florists' Club. The incessant rain throughout the day kept away many of those invited. The Lady Florists' Home Circle was by Mrs. E. Windier, "'S^fij^^^ Members of the F.
