Navy Boatswain's Mate Master Chief Junior Ashwood, USS Bataan (LHD 5) boatswain lead chief petty officer and native of Detroit, coordinates efforts as the USNS Big Horn (T-AOE 198) conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the Bataan during the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)'s PHIBRON/MEU Integration Training exercise Sept. 20, 2013. The MEU is scheduled to deploy in early 2014 to the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations
