Canadian artist Peter von Tiesenhausen stands on a sculpture of beetlekill logs on his property in Demmitt, Alberta. He cut the trees from his property after they were killed by the mountain pine beetle. About 2/3 of the logs he used to build a community center in Demmitt and these are the remaining logs. He calls the work Pyre and he plans to set it on fire this winter. He is standing in a pose similar to his well known wather scultures that he drove across Canada.
