The following account of Harris & Co. s gummedi label manufactory has been furnished bv the seniormember of the firm: Salem has the distinction of introducing the man-ufacture of gummed labels into America. JosiahMitchell, an English drug clerk, in the store of AlfredWright, having been used to gummed druggists labelsin England started the business in a small wav in aroom over Mr. Wrights store.
