Yew vase 38 cm high 18 cm diameter by Darrell Rushworth
Darrell Rashworth has been woodturning for about 30 years. He is a founding member of the West Riding Woodturners Group in Bradford and a longstanding member of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain, which organises a bi-annual seminar at Loughborough University. He has enjoyed courses with well-known woodturners at Millers Dale in Derbyshire. He demonstrates woodturing at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate where he regularly wins one of the prizes. From about 400 entries about 10% go on national tour and Darrell usually has one of his pieces selected. He also demonstrates his skills in the north of England and in Wales. He likes working with unusual pieces of wood and takes please in exploring its natural beauty.
