A Persian shamshir, 19th century. A wootz-Damascus blade with fullers on both sides (somewhat stained), with a chiselled and gold-inlaid ricasso. Gold-inlaid quillons and iron pommel cap with damaged horn grip scales. Wooden scabbard (some worm damage) covered with wire-sewn leather. Iron suspension bands. Length cm.
