The chela3 are mostly yellowish, becoming white at the tips and reddish at the joints ; the last joint of the other legs is yellow. All the legs are white beneath, except on the last three joints. The larger males usually have a large amount of red on the back of the carapace and chelfe. The variations in this species seem to be less than in many others of this family.
