The market was almost glutted M'ith carnations and bulbous stock poured in from evei-y direction. Lilies as usual held their high place and sweet peas in all grades and violets were good property. Pot plants and basket arrangements were much in evidence. Sales ran far ahead of other years and in most cases were more easily made. NOTES. T. J. Noll & Co. report the biggest Easter trade in their history, they hav- ing to work night and day to handle the orders. The shipping business was es- pecially active. This firm carried a fine line of roses in nearly all varie- ties, lilies, orchids, sweet peas and bulbous stock. Wm. I/. Rock Flower great numbers of roses in pots and lilies in fancy baskets. Cut stock also moved very well. Fancy boxes and corsages were featured here. Taking it all in all, it was the heaviest Easter trade in the firm's history. The Alpha Floral Co. reports a com- plete cleanup, although delivery was hampered to some extent. They had a big run on lilies and violets but the demand for corsages fell off. Pot plants and baskets sold better than •ever before. W. J. Barnes had a record breaking Easter
